Candle instructions, it’s like disclaimers under your email, they are usually never read. Come on now, make us happy and take the time to read the information below :-). Just one time, so we know you get the most out of your purchase. It’s full of handy tips and tricks about the best way to burn our candles.

Burn characteristics
Burn the candle a minimum of one hour per diameter inch. This will melt the wax up to the edge of the glass. Our candles are designed to burn all the way to the edges. This will allow for maximum use of the wax in each candle and will burn the glass totally empty.

Don't leave me
Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Sweating candle
A warm environment can sometimes cause the fragrance oils to sweat out of the wax. It will appear as sweat drops on top of the candle. This does not affect the performance of the candle. It may be even lit if it’s “sweating”. If the environment changes they will disappear back into the wax and the candle will keep its nice smell.

Trim the wick
Keep the wick trimmed to ¼” before every use. This is
true for any candle, not just My Flame candles. Use a wick trimmer or just regular scissors.

Flame too small or too large
Like we are told, anything that has TOO in front of it, is bad news. So, if the flame becomes too low, extinguish it and trim the clogged wick and re-light. You can also remove some of the wax around the wick (leave at least ¼“). Re-light the candle. If a candle flame becomes too high or if the candle gets too hot, extinguish the flame, trim the wick and re-light the candle.

Wick out of the center
A wick that becomes off centered can be corrected easily. Just move it back to the center when the wax is soft but slightly cooled. A centered wick creates the ideal burn and will leave the glass totally empty when done.

Dirty glass
Are you very keen about keeping it all clean? You can wipe the glass on the inside clean from any left over wax. Please wait for the wax to be cooled off.

Oops, I spilled some wax
Soy wax burns at a cooler temperature than paraffin wax and therefore is safer if it spills. It can easily be cleaned up with warm water and soap.

Finished
After the candle is completely burned, the glass may be cleaned for reuse or refill it with our little candles. Clean out the glass with warm soapy water or just place it in the dishwasher. Make sure to remove the metal wick holder before to turn on the dishwasher!
